COPS: Daniel Boone Breaks Into Zaxby’s, Gets Busted While Eating Chicken In Kitchen
Ya know, I get it. How often have you thought about breaking into a Zaxby’s after hours and frying up some chicken? Police in Lake City say they caught a man doing just that on Wednesday night. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the suspect standing in the kitchen, shirtless and eating some delectable Zaxby’s chicken. After some investigation, they determined that the man’s name was Daniel Boone. It seems that Daniel had been quite busy that night, as police discovered that he was probably the same man who had broken into three separate businesses over the last few hours. All three businesses are located in the same area. The first break-in occurred at Tire Mart. A security system alerted police of a burglary in progress. By the time officers got there, the man had already left, but they had surveillance video of a man wearing pants and no shirt. Shortly afterward, another burglary was reported at Rountree Ford, which is just up the road from Tire Mart. when police went to investigate, the burglar was already gone…again. That’s when a third break-in was reported. And that’s when they got their man.
According to investigators, an employee had arrived to open the Zaxby’s store for the day when he noticed that a side door was ajar. The employee notifed police, who responded and entered the store. When law enforcement entered the building, they found Daniel Boone standing in the kitchen, shirtless and enjoying a piece of fried chicken. During the following investigation, Boone admitted to police that he had entered Tire Mart and Rountree Ford, rummaging through several vehicles while he was at each location.
