Drink Beer As You Shop At Publix
Publix has a great idea for Florida shoppers.
Don’t you dare say that Publix isn’t awesome, because I have proof! In a stroke of pure genius, several locations of Publix are already allowing shoppers to grab a glass of wine or beer and take it with them as they shop. Pours at Publix is absolutely brilliant. Why didn’t we think of drinking as we shop before now? It seems to be a natural fit. Just imagine wandering down the cheese aisle while sipping on a glass of moscato, or pitching a 5-pound bag of tortilla chips in your cart as you guzzle your favorite pint of craft IPA. In my case, I think I’ll just grab a Pub Sub along with a nice dark lager and sit cross-legged in the ice cream aisle. For the record, I don’t think that’s allowed.
Pours at Publix was built so shoppers can drink beer, coffee, tea and wine as they fill their carts. Even smoothies are available. While many locations don’t have Pours service in their stores yet, if you go to a Greenwise location, you’ll probably find it there. The Publix website says Pours service is available at anytime, while you grocery in the evening, on Sunday or whenever they are open. Pretty freaking cool, huh? As of today, there are Pours stores in Orlando, Naples, Ormand Beach and Saint Augustine, which means that we in Tampa and St. Pete will have to wait a while. What do YOU think? Would YOU like to sip as you shop at Publix? Source: Local10.com
Beer Is Good
Some Of The Beers I Tried At The Bolts Brew Fest
The Bolts Brew Fest made a return for the first time since COVID and we were so excited! Beer and hockey are the perfect combo and it was great to be back at the event since the Lightning have become back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions. Amalie Arena was turned into a sea of breweries that were located throughout the concourse and ice floor (no, the ice was not set up for this event.) With so many brewery options around Tampa Bay, this was a great way to sample a little something from everyone and determine where our official next brewery stop would be.
They had a gaming corner set up at multiple areas in Amalie, including a Mario Kart tournament. But no worries, there was no drinking and driving allowed. Men and women could also test their strength at the stein holding competition. Holding a full stein beer glass is definitely a lot harder than it sounds.
There’s lots to see and do at the Bolts Brew Fest. Below is our list of some of the beers I tried while I was there. Each brewery featured at least 3 different style of beers, such as an IPA, Stout, and Wheat or Ale, but to avoid a night by the toilet I didn’t mix too many styles together. They don’t call me Two Beer Ted for no reason! If you’re heading to a Tampa Bay brewery that was featured in the Bolts Brew Fest, check this list to see if their featured beer is worth trying!
Mmmmm. Wine is good, too.
Sean Roberts was conceived in the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky by two passionate, panel aligning, third shifters who had grown bored with the same ole same ole. Upon birth, he was placed in the trunk of a new Stingray and sent off to find his destiny.
That destiny included several stints on radio stations across the United States. Some played punk country gospel, while others focused on Croatian death metal played backwards.
After many years and many adventures, Sean wound up on The Shark, where he does shots of tequila while playing the most badass tunes ever created by humankind.
He remains humble, however, never forgetting about the lean years...the street corners and dark alleys where he played songs on his car stereo for food and sex.
He's on top and he's never gonna stop LIVING THE DREAM!
