Florida Man Kidnapped, Robbed and Made To Dance In Dress
Some stories are more ‘Florida’ than others. This one is 100% Sunshine State through and through. Three suspects are in custody after a bizarre case unfolded in Florida last week. A man reported to police that he was kidnapped, thrown in a van, robbed of $3,000 and forced to dance in a dress in front of three women as they filmed the whole thing.
Police say 37-year-old Betsy DeJesus, 39-year-old Noah Navarro and 46-year-old Blanca Mejiamedina stand accused of capturing the victim, throwing him into the back of an SUV and taking him back to Navarro’s house. Investigators say the man was walking home at about 6 p.m. last Tuesday when the women attacked and abducted him. Once the man was at the suspect’s home, they say he was beaten, robbed, stripped and threatened. Police say the man was also forced to wear a dress and dance or he would be killed.
Once the women were finished with the attack, officers say the suspects took the man to a backroad in another county and left him there. The victim was able to contact police shortly afterward. He was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for severe facial swelling. The video of the man dancing for the women reportedly circulated across social media after the incident. During their investigation, police say they found that DeJesus paid $300 for the attack to happen. The victim identified DeJesus and Navarro as suspects while identifying Mejiamedina as being involved, too. DeJesus was charged with kidnapping, robbery and battery with a deadly weapon. Navarro and Mejiamedina were both charged with kidnapping and aggravted battery with a deadly weapon. The victim said he knew the women before the attack. Source: WFLA.com
