Florida Woman Arrested for Driving Golf Cart 25 MPH on Highway

Cops say the woman had no idea she was on the turnpike.

A Florida woman was arrested for driving a golf cart 25 MPH on a highway.

First of all, Florida woman’s golf cart hauls ass. Second, it’s not legal to drive a golf cart on a highway where the speed limit is over double the maximum speed of your vehicle.

It’s a great way to get smooshed. According to Villages News, a Florida woman was arrested after she was caught driving her golf cart on the Florida Turnpike at only 25 mph.

Villages resident Carol Lynn Crispino was pulled over by the Florida Highway Patrol last weekend. When questioned, cops say the woman told them she had a few drinks with dinner and had no idea she had wandered onto the turnpike.

Crispino did poorly on a series of field sobriety tests and registered .150 and .157 BAC. She was arrested on DUI. Her cart was towed from the scene.
