Tampa Women Caught With Lots Of Drugs, Including Narcan
According to police, a pair of women from Tampa seemed to plan their trip to South Florida quite well. They not only brought lots of drugs to sell across Florida, they even showed up with a supply of Narcan in case someone OD’ed along the way.
Deputies from the Martin County Sheriff’s Department say they made a big bust over the weekend. Now, two Tampa women are looking at lengthy prison sentences after investigators say the women tried to set up a huge drug deal in South Florida. The women, identified as 25-year-old Juanita Rose Fluckes and 32-year-old Lauren Ashley Rosetti, were caught with large quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl. The pair reportedly even had a supply of Narcan on hand in the event of an overdose. Narcan is typically carried by first responders. It is an antidote for the effects of opioids and it is sprayed directly into the nostrils during an overdose.
When the two women were arrested, deputies found 8 ounces of methamphetamine and half a gram of cocaine in their possession. But that wasn’t the entire bust. When officers searched the hotel room where the pair was staying, they found 16 grams of fentanyl and several spray bottles of Narcan. It was not immediately known if the Narcan was for their own protection or for customers. Because of the amount of drugs found, the women face some stiff charges. Both will be charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, delivery of cocaine, tampering with evidence and resisting arrest. The suspects are in the Martin County jail until their trial. Here are their mugshots, along with the complete story from Fox 13 News. Source: Fox13News.com
