Look, I like close games more than most, but this is one of those games where by halftime, we should have walked away. And right now, I believe the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wished they gave it more because we had a hit we will feel for some time during overtime. Tristian Wirf was hurt pretty badly. In an impact that even Fox News decided was too gruesome to replay. Now we have reported the injury was nowhere near as bad as predicted but will Tristan Wirf return this season?

Head Coach Todd Bowles confirmed it was an ankle injury, not a fracture. Reports have stated that it is all in the ligaments, thankfully. Unfortunately, the Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s “All-Pro” Right Tackle was just run over. The injury happened after Cleavlands Grant Delpit was picked up and dropped onto Wirfs leg. Wirf could get up on his own after the play; however, he was helped to his locker by a trainer.
According to reports as well, Tristian Wirf will return this season, but it won’t be for another few weeks. Experts estimate we won’t see him for 3-4 weeks, barring any surgery that may need to happen—Doctors reviewing Wirf state that there is no need for surgery, just rest. Below we found recordings of the hit that took out Tristian Wirf. [Source WFLA]
