Florida Man Hides Gun In Chicken Butt
TSA called FOWL after they discovered a handgun that had been hidden in the butt of a chicken on Monday. The Transportation Safety Administration says a person tried to smuggle a pistol onboard that had been stuffed into the orifice of a raw chicken.
Attentive agents at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport found the weapon, which had been wrapped in thin paper and stuffed inside the chicken’s carcass. The bizarre find was hidden in a carry-on suitcase that was brought by a would-be passenger. Here is a picture of the uncooked chicken and the weapon. While TSA is thankful that it found the gun, they remind travelers to be vigilant when flying during the holidays. There are always people who are up to no good and it’s best to tell their agents if you see anything unusual at all.
The TSA went on to remind travelers that carrying a gun and ammunition on board is legal, but only under specific circumstances. Unloaded weapons must be packed in locked, hard-sided containers in checked bags and you must declare those items at the ticket counter before flying. Full details can be found on the TSA website. 2022 has been a busy year for the TSA, confiscating everything from a chainsaw to what agents called a “meth burrito” which was found and impounded in Texas.
