Florida Man Sells Pieces Of Larry Flynt’s Private Hustler Jet
I’ll be honest, I was a bit surprised when I first saw the ad. Larry Flynt’s personal jet was being offered up on Facebook Marketplace, but it wasn’t quite ready to fly. The private jet had been relieved of it’s engines, wings and other neccessities for flight. But the main fuselage was there, and the ad said I could buy parts of the airplane separately.
The black and gold jet is currently residing in Plant City. The price seems to be a bargain. Considering the original purchase price was $35 million dollars, today’s asking price of a mere $18,000 seems to be quite fair. Larry Flynt was the founder of Hustler magazine and died about a year ago. The remaining portion of the jet still sports its HUSTLER logos on the side, making it imposible to mistake it for another private jet. After Flynt’s death, the jet was parted out instead of kept in flying shape, mostly because jet parts can be worth more than a complete jet these days. Also, maintenance can be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars annually. The aircraft itself is a custom Gulfstream G4. while the first 26 feet have ben sold, including the flight deck, the remaining 64 feet are still for sale. Most jet parts are sold for repair of other jets or built into custom furniture for aviation buffs.
The seller said the fuselage would make a great tiny house or even a VIP lounge at a Tampa strip club. If you think you’d like to own the remainder of the aircraft, search Facebook Marketplace for the ad or contact the seller at aerosalvagedesign.com. Source: TampaBay.com
