Florida Martial Arts Instructor Arrested for Camera in Bathroom

Police are looking for additional victims.

Everyone has a cell phone now, and the cameras in those phones are getting better and better everyday.

While that’s great for grandbabies and pets, it’s not so good when you’re copping a squat before testing for your black belt. According to Local 10, police in Broward County say a martial arts instructor was arrested after they got some reports of a hidden camera in a bathroom at the facility where the man taught.

Police say the 64-year-old was taken into custody last Friday.

The police report says a 17-year-old girl found two cameras hidden in some picture frames in the bathroom. The student asked the owner about the cameras and he promptly destroyed them.

An investigation was conducted and the man was arrested. Since the arrest, the investigation has yielded content with children and adults on camera.

Authorities are asking anyone who attended or visited the academy since March to contact them. The man faces charges of voyeurism and tampering with evidence.
