Florida Woman Hits 150 MPH During Motorcycle Chase
Disclaimer: Whenever I hear about a motorcycle chase, I can’t help but wonder what the rider was on. Maybe that’s just the gearhead in me, but not many bikes are capable of very high speeds over short distances. When I read that this woman was on a BMW S1000RR, it all made sense. That particular bike makes about 200 hp, which is a lot for a street bike. It’s a truly fantastic motorcycle, stuffed with high tech and handling capabilities. I don’t condone going fast on public roads. I’m just saying that the bike explains the speeds. She could have gone faster. Here’s what happened: Gina Aidaliz Henry works at a motorcycle dealership and likes to haul ass on her motorcycle during her off-hours. She was clocked going 150 mph on her BMW motorcycle earlier this week. It all started when Henry was clocked going 82 in a 55. When cops attempted to stop her, she accelerated and reached speeds up to 150 mph. Cops chased her with sirens and lights flashing. They eventually caught Henry when she stopped for a red light in downtown Tampa. No one was hurt and she was arrested. – Sean Roberts
