Botched Robbery, Stolen UPS Truck And 30 Seconds Of Gunfire In South Florida
According to WTSP, yesterday’s shootout between cops and two men who stole a UPS truck began at a Coral Gables jewelry store. Here’s the timeline.
The silent alarm at Regent Jewelers is activated at 4:17 pm.
Two men enter Regent Jewelers and draw weapons.
The store owner pulls his own gun.
The resulting shootout results in at least one injury.
The two robbers carjack a UPS truck and kidnap the driver in an attempt to get away.
Police begin chase, often being shot at by the two men in the truck.
After almost 30 minutes, the UPS truck is forced to stop due to traffic.
A huge shootout with approximately 30 seconds of nonstop gunfire results in the deaths of both robbers, the UPS truck river and a bystander. No police officers were injured.
