Florida Man Throws Kittens From A Moving Car
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Diego Torres Ruiz was spotted by a witness allegedly tossing two kittens from his SUV window onto US-1 in Islamorada on November 28th. The witness reported that cars had to swerve to avoid hitting them.
Deputies said they stopped Ruiz after the witness provided a description of the car and its license plate number. He denied knowing anything about the kittens; deputies had not found them yet, so Ruiz was released.
However, when deputies returned to the scene later that day, one of the kittens had already died from its injuries. The second kitten was found and taken to a veterinarian with non life-threatening injuries. Ruiz was arrested and has been charged with two counts of animal cruelty.
The person who witnessed the incident ended up adopting the surviving kitten. [Source: WFLA]
