If you’re a fan of the Food Network, grab your keys and head to Sarasota as two of the channel’s stars are opening a restaurant this weekend.

I’m not much of a cook, but I do love the Food Network and watching cooking shows. I’m also all about checking out new restaurants. Especially in a town like Sarasota, that’s one of my favorites on the Gulf Coast, to have a restaurant with Food Network chefs sounds nothing short of amazing.

Buddy Foy, Jr. and Jennifer Foy, “The Foys”, are known for their Food Network show, Summer Rush. The show took place in Bolton Landing, N.Y., and saw three members of one family, each with their own restaurant, square off against each other with just 60 days to make all their money for the whole year.

The Foys already own two other restaurants: The Chateau Anna Maria on Anna Maria Island and The Chateau On the Lake in New York. Now, another will be opening this weekend called The Chateau Sarasota. The restaurant’s website said it brings “interpretation and flair of the American gusto to French-inspired dishes.” It will be located at 2001 Siesta Drive across the street from the Crossings at Siesta Key mall. Some special events the Sarasota restaurant has planned include Jazz Nights, a Chefs’ Tasting Counter, Club Chateau, Hospitality/Industry Night and Tuesday Wine Night.

The Chateau Sarasota will be open from noon to midnight every day but Monday. They will also serve brunch Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
