She was a roommate of the victim.

Take a moment and think about all of the calls that come in to your parents’ house every day. Scammers are trying to take money from the elderly every single day. The wave never stops. Call blockers, unlisted numbers and registrys do nothing to stop it. It’s getting to the point where we don’t even pick up our phones if we don’t recognize the number.
But there are other ways for unsavory characters to gain access to your family’s money and possessions. Home caregivers have practically unlimited access to your parents, their home and all of the items within it. That’s why it’s very important to research who you let into your home. A Gulfport woman is now accused of taking almost half a million dollars from an elderly dementia patient who was in her care. The suspect, 79-year-old Estella Bailey was charged with exploiting an elderly or disabled adult after they say she stole $450,000 from a patient who had been placed in her care about two years ago.
Gulfport Police say the two women met at an assisted living home in 2018. The victim had problems making decisions due to her dementia and depression. Investigators say the suspect offered to serve as a caregiver for the victim shortly after meeting her. Bailey was able to acquire power of attorney over the victim’s estate, officially placing herself in control of the woman’s finances. Police say Bailey removed $500 to $700 from the victim’s account every week after that. They also found a check that Bailey had written herslef from the victim’s account for $180,000. she is accused of using the money for her own personal expenses. Bailey was arrested this week and bonded out. She is awaiting trial. Source: WFLA.com

Falling Iguanas Suck

Sean Roberts was conceived in the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky by two passionate, panel aligning, third shifters who had grown bored with the same ole same ole. Upon birth, he was placed in the trunk of a new Stingray and sent off to find his destiny. That destiny included several stints on radio stations across the United States. Some played punk country gospel, while others focused on Croatian death metal played backwards. After many years and many adventures, Sean wound up on The Shark, where he does shots of tequila while playing the most badass tunes ever created by humankind. He remains humble, however, never forgetting about the lean years...the street corners and dark alleys where he played songs on his car stereo for food and sex. He's on top and he's never gonna stop LIVING THE DREAM!
