Naked & High Woman Lights Florida Man’s Apartment
Sometimes it’s pretty cool to have a strange woman take a shower at your home. Visions of making your way through the steam to find a hottie all lathered up in your bathroom are the stuff Hollywood movies are made of.
But sometimes fantasies can turn into nightmares, like when Florida man allowed a local homeless woman to get cleaned up in his apartment. She had done so before, so he wasn’t particularly concerned about letting the woman into his place. But this day was unlike the previous days. On this day, 46-year-old Maria Dawson reportedly stepped up her game a bit, which resulted in her facing arson and attempted murder charges. According to police in Miami-Dade, the man often allowed Dawson, who is homeless, to shower at his home. The apartment is for low-income renters and is owned by Miami-Dade County. In the early afternoon last Sunday, investigators say Dawson arrived at the victim’s apartment to take a shower. The victim told police he saw Dawson leave his apartment after she cleaned up, but didn’t talk to her because he was busy cooking a meal. Shortly after that, police say, the man smelled smoke.
According to investigators, the man rushed toward the aroma. When he reached his bedroom, he saw thick smoke coming from under the door. That’s when he discovered that the door was locked. After he broke the door open, the man saw that his closet was fully engulfed in flames. The fire appeared to have been started in a pile of clothes that was on the closet floor. The victim reportedly tried to put out the fire with a garden hose, but was unsuccessful. Firefighters arrived shortly after they were called to the scene. Unfortunately, the flames and water from fire hoses damaged the dwelling severely.
Right about that time, police received a report of a naked woman wandering in the area. They quickly found the woman and noted that she appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
