Kyle Handfield has been arrested on three counts of sexual battery related to a relationship that happened back between 2017 and 2018. Handfield was recently teaching Band at another school but was the band director at Pinellas Park Middle when the incident occurred.
According to the police, Handfield began to communicate with the 14-year-old student through social media. The student claims Handfield engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with her while she was a Pinellas Park Middle School student. Pinellas County Sherriff’s office began the investigation on January 7th. Currently, a detective has stated there are not any other victims. [Source Tampa Bay Times]
