Fans Start Movement to Boycott the Rays Over Montreal Plan

Tampa Bay is no stranger to great Broadcasters but will this local Tampa broadcaster be able to boycott the Rays. A podcaster here in the Tampa area is very clear he is not happy with the plan to move the Tampa Rays out of the Bay area. Many feel this is a plan penned by many rich guys trying to get richer. The fact is many people are not happy with sharing the Rays.

The organizer reacted to the news stating its a “total scheme.” Currently, he is planning a “Save Our Rays Full Season” in protest of Stu Stenberg’s “Sister City Plan.” The rally will start in February.

“So far, Lightning fan groups, Buccaneer fan groups are all reaching out and saying, ‘We’re all in, what do you want us to do?‘” says JP.

  Yes, because you have to travel over the Howard Franklin at rush hour and go to south St Pete!! Depending where you are in Tampa it could be an hour or more!! Forget Brandon, Lakeland or other areas.

  It’s easy to say this when you’re not going to a job every week and then trying to commute to a stadium that takes a hour or longer to go 20 miles. You’re out of touch of what working class people go through

  Yeah if I wanted to watch the game in a Walmart I’d go to one in Tampa and watch in the tv department rather than drive to st pete on a weeknight
