Human Remains Found At Florida Serial Killer’s House
You might wanna sit down for this story. It started in Hernando County. That’s where authorities found human remains in the yard of a serial killer years ago. The murderer was convicted and sent to prison, but his family remains on the property. Bulldozers showed up on Tuesday to dig and attempt to find bones and other clues. The property has a macabre history, and it’s all true. Murders and dismemberment happened there, along with rapes, child molestation and heavy drug use. Convicted Florida serial killer Billy Mansfield was found guilty of 4 murders back in the late 1970s and remains in prison in California for his crimes. Mansfield buried the bodies of his victims near his house, saying he ‘liked having them near him’. Prosecutors say Mansfield acted out fantasies with his father and brother, kidnapping women and bringing them back to the house, only to kill them after torturing them for hours or days. In the end, Mansfield dismembered the victims in the house. The discovery Tuesday of human remains was so disturbing and so chilling, forensic teams spent hours at the home digging and cataloging evidence. The father and brother still live on the property, and both have long criminal records. In fact, Billy’s brother, Gary, was arrested on drug charges as the bulldozers began their work. As the man was placed in a cruiser, he yelled out ‘There’s bodies all over the property’. – Sean Roberts
