Tampa Bay Whiskey Riot Returns with 200 Spirits for February Tasting Event
Get ready to raise a glass as Tampa Bay Whiskey Riot brings its huge tasting event back to St. Pete Coliseum. On February 1, 2025, from 3 PM to 7 PM, booze lovers can sample an amazing lineup of 200 whiskeys and craft cocktails. Regular tickets cost $90, giving you unlimited tastings during the event, learning sessions, and your own tasting glass. Drop $120 for VIP access and you’ll get in early to try some top-shelf spirits. Your ticket helps others too. Money goes to the Family Meal Hospitality Trust, a 501(c)(3) charity. Don’t wait, last year tickets sold out two weeks early.
One ticket lets you taste spirits that would cost about $9,000 if bought in stores. Master distillers will spill their secrets, explaining what makes each spirit unique in its own way. Award-winning Von Payne Black tops a stellar list of distilleries serving samples at themed booths. The festival did so well in Tampa that it expanded to Texas, adding shows in Houston and San Antonio.
Getting home safely is key. Jump on the PSTA SunRunner with a stop close to the venue. The CrossBay Ferry and ride-share apps give you solid backup options to get around.
Whether you’re a whiskey pro or just starting out, you’ll find something to love. Side-by-side tastings help you spot the little differences between spirits in this friendly setting.
As organizers said to Thats So Tampa, “In this sprawling event, whiskey enthusiasts (or just those who are a little whiskey curious) can sample hundreds of bottles without buying hundreds of bottles.”
