Gun Found In A Raw Chicken By Florida TSA Agents
Yet another, “Only in Florida headline.” A gun was found in a raw chicken by TSA agents.
This happened at the Fort Lauderdale Hollywood Airport and the TSA even posted about it on their Facebook page.
The TSA had some fun with the caption and many chicken puns as well, “There’s a personal fowl here.”
From the photos it looks like the gun was wrapped in a plastic bag with packing tape, stuffed in the raw chicken cavity. It appears that the bag with the chicken was tied up and placed in a cooler bag. As always we don’t condone this kind of behavior, but you gotta give creativity points to whoever thought they could hide a firearm in a chicken and get away with it. Only in Florida, right?
The TSA took this “gun in chicken” opportunity to remind the public about the regulations of transporting firearms and ammunition. “You may transport unloaded firearms in a locked hard-sided container as checked baggage only. Declare the firearm and/or ammunition to the airline when checking your bag at the ticket counter. ” As far as ammunition, it is prohibited in carry-on luggage but can be placed in a checked bag.
