Mitchell’s Fish Market Closes Only Florida Location In Tampa
One of the biggest restaurants at WestShore Plaza has closed for good, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Signage has been taken down at Mitchell’s Fish Market. They say employees posted to social media that they got word last month that the spread of the coronavirus led to the decision to close permanently. The Tampa Mitchell’s Fish Market location opened in 2006 next to JC Penney. It was their only location in Florida. Positive reviews on Yelp mentioned how the seafood was fresh and never frozen. Menu prices were the biggest complaint.
Those with unused gift cards might still be able to use them at affiliated Landry’s restaurants like Morton’s Steakhouse, Rainforest Cafe or Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Company. The Mitchell’s Fish Market web site lists a handful of locations left in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Kentucky. For more information, call 1.844.234.7833. The vacancy left by Mitchell’s may not last long. A mall spokesperson told the TBBJ something new should fill the spot left by Mitchell’s soon. [Source: TBBJ]
