Another world record has been broken! It’s an impressive one, too. A proud California woman breaks record for world’s longest arm hair!
Wait, it’s not what you think! Picture the woman you’re thinking would break the world record for longest arm hair. I bet this isn’t who you expected!
Proud California Woman Breaks Record For World’s Longest Arm Hair
Macie Davis-Southerland is now the world record holder for the longest arm hair on a female. However, it’s not what I expected.
In my head, I pictured, like, a bearded lady. A woman just covered in hair with arms like Robin Williams. However, that’s not the case.
Macie grew out one individual really long hair. So, it’s not hairiest arms, or anything like that. No, it’s one singular hair. Sorry, I had to get that out of the way. I didn’t see it coming. Don’t want you to be super thrown off like I was.
According to Guinness World Records, Macie didn’t even realize she had an oddly long arm hair until her junior year in High School back in 2012. She has no clue when it actually started growing.
According to GWR, she said, “I was at Disneyland with my best friend Kaylee’s family when her brother pointed out a hair on my arm.” The brother then asked to pull it, and she reportedly refused. In that moment, she decided she would let it grow out so she could someday hold the Guinness World Record title for it.
Well, dreams come true! She now holds the World Record for longest arm hair on a female. That will certainly bring all the boys to the yard.
Jokes aside, it actually might! Macie is actually cute! I didn’t expect the world record holder for longest arm hair to be good looking, but here we are!
Over the years, the hair occasionally would fall out or be plucked out or pulled on accident. However, it would always grow back. Often, even longer than it was before!
According to Guinness, she originally qualified for the record with a measurement of 5.59 inches. However, she says she knows it’s been longer before and hopes to get a more accurate number in there. as she has seen it grow around 5.9 inches. The final measurement was 7.24 inches. That’s huge!
What’s next? Macie hopes to break the overall longest arm hair in both the female and male categories. Look out, fellas!
