Daredevil Robbie Knievel Dies At 60
I'd love to say he went out doing what he loved but its not true. Daredevil Robbie Knievel has died at 60, according to his family.
We are losing more and more of our childhood heroes. Every one of my friends wanted to be like Evel Knievel, and even my son would ride his bike off a ramp declaring himself to be like Daredevil Robbie Knievel, his son. We lost Evel Knievel back in 2007, and now we have lost his son too. His family has announced that Daredevil Robbie Knievel has died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 60 years old.
The stunt rider, known as “Kaptain Robbie Knievel,” spent his final days in hospice before passing away on Friday, TMZ reports.
Knievel began following in his father’s footsteps at age 8 when he performed at Madison Square Garden. He performed more than 350 jumps over the course of his career, setting 20 records. He even successfully jumped the fountains at Caesar’s Palace in 1989 — a stunt his dad had tried but failed. [Source TMZ]
