Dunedin Chef To Compete On Guy’s Grocery Games
This is so cool! We love it when any local restaurant or chef gets some national recognition. This time, a Dunedin chef at the popular restaurant Caracara Asian Tapas + Tacos is going to compete for $20,000 on the Food Network’s show “Guy’s Grocery Games“.
It’s no secret that Guy Fieri LOVES the Sunshine State. He’s been to Florida (and the Tampa Bay area) more than 20+ times for his show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. He’s also had multiple chefs from the area compete on Guy’s Grocery Games. Last year, Shiso Crispy food truck owner Ronicca Whaley competed on the show as well.

For those who aren’t familiar, Guy’s Grocery Games is a Food Network show hosted by Guy Fieri. The show consists of four competitors who have to create a signature dish using ingredients found in “Flavortown Market.” The chefs are hit by real-world challenges like finding solutions when all the essential ingredients are suddenly “out-of-stock” or having to create a masterpiece when you can only cook with “5 items or less” or on a $10 budget.
The local chef from Dunedin that you will see on TV this week is Traci Bryant. She is the executive chef at Caracara Asian Tapas + Tacos in Dunedin, located at 730 Broadway Suite 4, Dunedin FL, 34698. This hidden foodie gem specializes in Asian-inspired small plates and tacos. Traci and her team create Asian, Mexican, and American-inspired dishes, each with a unique Asian flavor. They even have a lot of vegan options on their menu, so there’s something for everyone. You can check out their full menu HERE.
You can join the Caracara team at their watch party as they cheer on their own executive chef! The episode will air Wednesday, April 24 at 9 pm on The Food Network. The watch party will be hosted at Jack Pallino’s in Dunedin located at 718 Broadway, FL 34698.
