There’s a thing called “Gun Safety” and turns out, it’s pretty important! If you’re going to handle and possess a firearm, it’s important that you’re responsible with it. Well, this guy was not. Would you forgive your friend for shooting you in the butt?
I’ve had to forgive friends before. However, they’ve never accidentally shot me. Let’s read more on this crazy story out of Michigan.
Would You Forgive Your Friend For Shooting You In The Butt?
What started as a little trip to the bathroom, ended in severe pain. According to Click On Detroit, a man accidentally shot his friend who had gotten out of his truck to go to the bathroom on the way home from a night out in Michigan’s Oakland County.
Police officers reportedly were called to a home where they found a 28-year old Rose Township man lying in the front yard with injuries to his hip and butt, per Click On Detroit. At the same time, Thomas Jane Wolford, 32, was hiding behind a pickup truck in the driveway.
Click On Detroit reports that the two men, co-workers and friends, were heading home from a night out when the driver stopped on a dirt road to use the bathroom. Well, when he returned to his truck, he heard a loud pop and then felt a sensation in his right side. Turns out, Wolford had accidentally shot the 28-year old man with a handgun he was trying to put back in a backpack when it fired and hit the victim.
The victim then drove to a nearby friends house to call for medical help, per Click On Detroit. Wolford was intoxicated, didn’t have a concealed pistol license, and was taken to the Oakland County Jail. He was charged with charges of carrying a concealed weapon, careless discharge of a firearm causing injury or death, and possession of a firearm while under the influence, per Click On Detroit.
Now, would you forgive him? It was an accident, right? However, it was pretty negligent! Personally, I’m getting my life together and finding new friends after getting accidentally shot in the butt. That would be my wake up call. Check out Wolford’s mugshot below.
