Talk about a shocking development! New exercise clothes deliver electric shocks while you work out.
If that doesn’t get your energy up during your workout, I don’t know what will. I have to imagine receiving electric shocks is more pleasant than having to drink any of those awful tasting drinks to get energy.
New Exercise Clothes Deliver Electric Shocks While You Workout
According to The New York Post, Barun Bio, a biotech company that specializes in anti-aging solutions, is now selling patented WE-Stim technology. That’s short for Wearing Electrical Stimulation.
CEO Jinkee Hong and CTO Patrick T. Hwang told The New York Post, “We’re not just creating a product, we’re pioneering a health revolution in apparel.”
The company claims these leggings are the first clothing in the world that actually enhances health at the cellular level, according to The New York Post. Does it affect comfort? According to them, it does not! They say they’re just as comfortable as your average pair of leggings.
They also look like any other pair of leggings. It’s not like you’re hauling around a big electrical set, or anything. The naked eye would have no clue. It appears that these leggings use conductive stitching to provide the shocks with a silver nano-coated thread.
How Does We-Stim Work?
So, how does it work? According to The New York Post, “the human body naturally produces ‘subtle electric fields,’ and the We-Stim leggings have non-skin touching conductive materials that use the energy produced during physical activity.”
The microcurrents the leggings offer many health benefits including muscle stimulation and muscle recovery. The electrical stimulation rejuvenates muscles, boosts athletic performance, aids muscle recovery, and reduces fatigue, according to The New York Post.
Barun Bio introduced the leggings at CES 2024 and earned an innovation award for their unique product. Barun Bio hopes that the new technology will be helpful in promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Shocks not your thing? Looking for a more mellow way to get in the mood for your workout? A new study also claims that smoking weed before your workout can boost motivation (that’s a first) and make working out more fun (okay, I believe that). Read more about that study at DailyMail!
Most Searched Celebrity Workout Routines of 2023
Celebrities take working out very seriously. Whether it is to get into character for a role or as part of their branding and aesthetic, Hollywood’s elite takes care of their body inside and out. A new study conducted by Mirafit reveals the most searched celebrity workout routines of 2023. Some action stars made the top of the list. And it should come as no surprise as some of the Kardashian-Jenner clan also pique interest for the most-searched routines.
As consumers, there is no shortage of references for which celebrities do which kinds of workouts. Last year, Men’s Journal dove into the most popular celebrity training plans that give lean, perfectly muscular physiques. That list featured all men, but women have another set of standards that are highlighted in other publications, like Women’s Health. Pilates, HIIT workouts, martial arts, and yoga are among the most popular listed workouts for women on top of gym routines. Unlike the rest of us, celebrities have the disposable income to hire physical trainers and personal chefs, have private gyms, and have the time to go to the gym for hours on end every day if they desire to.
What Routine Is Right For You?
For those considering following a celebrity’s workout routine, Marie Claire came up with a list of things to consider to find which routine is right for you:
- Has a qualified fitness professional designed the workout?
- Is it easy to follow?
- Does the workout time fit into your schedule?
- How expensive is it, and is it within budget for you?
- Is it accessible to all fitness levels?
- Is it doable from home, or does it require a gym or studio?

But your main focus should be finding a workout that works for you and that you genuinely enjoy as part of a realistic healthy lifestyle. With that in mind, keep scrolling to see which ten celebrities are the most searched for their workout routines in 2023.
Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
