Make Your Elf on the Shelf Look Like He’s at a Urinal
Christmas is almost here and people are always getting creative with their Holiday Spirit. You’ve most likely seen the Elf on the Shelf, I mean how could you have missed them. One guy in Australia is using his in a less traditional way.
Elf on the Shelf…Going to the bathroom?
A woman in Australia named Sarah Gordon recorded some hilarious footage of her husband’s creative use of their Elf on a Shelf. He placed it facing their refrigerator water dispenser in a strategic fashion so that when you are filling up a cup, it looks like the Elf on the Shelf is taking a leak. She jokes that her husband is extremely dedicated to using the Elf on the Shelf for her three children!
Obviously, this Elf is not watching out to see if kids are being naughty or nice but rather creating a few laughs surrounding the Holidays.
Origin and Information
This product has been around for a number of years. So, it actually originated from a children’s book written in the early 2000’s. They are still being sold and are going for $32.95 if you purchase them directly from the official website. However, there are mixed reviews and feelings about the Elf’s usage.
Mixed Reviews?
Not everyone finds this Christmas tradition to be an innocent one. According to an article from, Independent.co.uk, there are some potential issues with them. A psychologist named Ewan Gillon says a “spy” product like this could have “significant repercussions” for children. The feeling that something is watching their every move could even make them paranoid.
Whatever you choose to do, enjoy your Christmas with your family. What we do know is that putting an Elf on the Shelf on a water dispenser to make it look like he’s peeing is hilarious.
