Orlando Airport’s New Terminal for Non-Travelers: How It Works
Orlando International Airport has introduced a new visitor pass program to offer greater flexibility for people wishing to accompany loved ones to the gate or explore the airport’s newest terminal. This initiative, called the Experience MCO Visitor Pass Program, was recently launched as a pilot. It allows people without boarding passes or flight reservations to access secure post-security areas, specifically Terminal C, the airport’s most recent addition.
What to Know
To participate in this program, interested visitors must complete an online application form and obtain approval from the Transportation Security Administration. Applications can be submitted up to seven days in advance, with approval notifications sent via email after midnight on the day of the planned visit.
Upon approval, visitors are required to go through standard security procedures and present their digital approval. It’s important to note that all visitors must use the regular airport security lanes, as expedited programs like TSA PreCheck and Clear are not available for pass holders. Additionally, pass holders are expected to exit the terminal by 8 p.m., according to the news release.

While Orlando’s program is new to that area, it’s not the first of its kind. In 2017, Pittsburgh International Airport introduced a similar initiative. Furthermore, in 2019, Tampa International Airport launched an All Access program that granted non-travelers access to post-security areas. However, this program is currently suspended as the airport assesses passenger volumes at its security checkpoints, per its website.
Orlando’s program came about one year after the airport unveiled its latest terminal. It features various amenities such as Bluetooth navigational beacons, multimedia installations, wireless charging stations, and more.
Following the recent announcement, a wave of people has taken to the comments on MCO’s Instagram to share their anticipation. One person wrote, “Ohhhhh, I’m eagerly anticipating my visit to Terminal C!” Another person commented, “This is SO cool. I rarely get to fly out of terminal C and it’s the prettiest one! So excited to visit.”
