T-Pain released his covers album On Top of the Covers today (March 17.) When the album was first announced, it got plenty of attention for the artists the rapper would cover. In addition, the album is done without Auto-Tune, which T-Pain is well known for using.

Among those artists were Black Sabbath and Journey. Upon listening, T-Pain does a really good job!

T-Pain chose to tackle Sabbath’s “War Pigs” and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” two of the most popular songs in each band’s catalogs. Both covers can be heard below.

“War Pigs”

On Top of the Covers is available for streaming/download here. Other songs covered include Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life,” Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come” and Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show’s “Sharing The Night Together.”
