4 Good Spots to Watch Clearwater’s Lighted Boat Parade
The annual Clearwater Yacht Club Lighted Boat Parade will be held this Saturday, December 10 at 6:30 p.m. This will be their 48th annual holiday boat parade. There will be prizes for powerboats, sailboats and overall best in the parade. For questions about participating, call (727) 447-6000.
The weather should be perfect with temps right around 70 degrees Saturday evening. Here are 4 good spots in Clearwater to watch the lighted boat parade.
Frenchy’s
Parking is a pain but, but a good spot to get some food and watch the start of the parade. Be sure you go to the French’s that’s on East Shore Drive on the opposite side of the beach. The route doesn’t go along Clearwater Beach.
Clearwater Beach Library
Another good spot to catch the early part of the show.
Coachman Park
I haven’t been over this way lately to see the status of the work being done, so this might not be the best of your choices. But as long as you are in that area and stay near the water, you should have a great view.
Clearwater Memorial Causeway
No doubt your best bet in my opinion. Park your car in one of the garages on the city side and walk along the left (south) side of the bridge. The parade will go by the entire length of the bridge. I’d bring a bike!
