Uber Offering Free Rides To Tampa Bay Area Shelters
Uber is offering free rides to Tampa Bay area shelters ahead of Hurricane Ian.
With mandatory evacuations all over the Tampa Bay area and our neighboring counties, the rideshare company is stepping up.
Uber is offering free rides – up to $30 and does not include driver gratuity – to and from state-approved evacuation shelters. Hillsborough Country Sherriff Chad Chronister tweeted how to get the free ride in the Uber app.
Rides are limited to two per user, and you can select any of the Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, and Pasco County state-approved Florida evacuation shelters. The full list of these shelters is HERE.
