Ozzy Osbourne was apparently ghosted by Jimmy Page after reaching out to the guitarist to appear on his new album.

Osbourne said in a new interview with Metal Hammer, “I don’t even know if he plays anymore, but I thought getting Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page meant having the greatest guitarists on the planet. But I never heard from him. Maybe he’d lost his phone or something!”

As previously reported, Page told Classic Rock of not appearing on Ozzy’s new album, “I will never be one of those people who’ll record alone and send someone a file. I never went into music in the first place to do that – it was for playing together.”

Despite not having Page on the album, Ozzy assembled quite the guest list for Patient Number 9, which comes out September 9. On top of the aforementioned Clapton and Beck, the album also features Tony Iommi, Chad Smith, Robert Trujillo, Duff McKagan, Zakk Wylde, Josh Homme and Mike McCready.
