How Much Do You Need To Make To Buy An Average Priced Home In Tampa

The website visualcapitalist.com, just came out with a report showing you how much money you have to earn to afford to live in an averaged priced home in your area.  If these prices in Florida are scaring you, count your lucky stars you don’t live in San Jose, CA where you would need to make $331k to pay an average mortgage payment of $7,700 a month.

On the other side of the coin, it looks like you could get your best home values in Pittsburg, and Oklahoma City.  Believe it or not, it looks like Tampa is about averaged.  Check out the full map here.

Median home price: $530,000
Salary needed: $103,744

Orlando

Median home price: $399,900
Salary needed: $79,573

Tampa

Median home price: $379,900
Salary needed: $75,416

Jacksonville

  You can make just shy of $80,000 to repair and install elevators and escalators. You'll make more money doing the same work in bigger cities like Boston though. The average pay there is up around $110,000 a year - but keep in mind, Boston is terribly expensive.
