A Conveyor Belt Feeds You a Five-Course Meal, No Hands Required
PRODUCTION - 29 September 2021, Bavaria, Nuremberg: Freshly baked gingerbread runs on a conveyor belt from an oven in the production facility of gingerbread manufacturer Schmidt. Up to three million gingerbreads come out of the oven every day during the peak season at the market leader Lebkuchen-Schmidt. Weighing the ingredients and mixing the mass is still done by hand on a large scale, while the wafers are coated and baked by machine. Some guy in the U.K. built a ridiculous conveyor-belt machine that can feed you a five-course meal, no hands required. But the hard part is keeping up with it.
The whole meal happens in two minutes. First, he gulps down a bowl of soup . . . then a hair dryer BLOWS an entire salad into his mouth. There’s also a spinning ear of corn . . . a machine that cuts up a hot dog and feeds it to him . . . and then a toy train shoves a whole éclair into his mouth.
He manages to keep up. But he had a bunch of friends try it, and it didn’t go so well.
