Rob Zombie’s ‘Munsters’ Film Gets a Surprising Rating
When Rob Zombie was confirmed to be writing and directing a reboot film of The Munsters, many were wondering whether the wholesome goth family would get a more sinister makeover. That won’t be the case.
Zombie shared via Instagram that the film received a PG rating “for macabre and suggestive material, scary images and language.” He also added, “For those of you speculating, wondering and assuming that THE MUNSTERS would be dirty, violent and nasty… well, you are wrong. It’s all good down on Mockingbird Lane.”
Per IMDb, the cast features Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster and Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster.
A release date for the film is not currently known.
