Tommy Lee Weighs in on Upcoming ‘Pam & Tommy’ Hulu Series
Tommy Lee shared his thoughts on the upcoming Pam & Tommy limited series on Hulu starring Lily James and Sebastian Stan.
Lee told ET at the 2021 MTV VMAs on Sunday (September 12), “I know Sebastian, he’s playing me. From what he’s told me, really beautiful story. I think a lot of people would think it’s one thing, but it’s really about privacy and how things got crazy then. There’s different laws now.”
As previously reported, the eight-episode limited series will explore Anderson and Lee’s relationship, including when their honeymoon sex tape was stolen and leaked. In May, Hulu released the first images from the miniseries showing James and Stan done up as Anderson and Lee.

Anderson has yet to comment on the upcoming series, but her friend Courtney Love blasted the series back in May saying in a now-deleted Facebook post, “I find this so f—ing outrageous. When Pam / Tommy sex tape was out / myself @pattyschemel @xmadmx were making a record. And the lone women in many recording studios in LA. Where all / ALL! The staff engineers / producers / owners / were watching the sex tape with huge schadenfreude.. Guffaws, It was disgusting. I banned anyone discussing it.. It destroyed my friend Pamela’s life. Utterly.
Love’s post continued, “Last week I was asked to approve using a ‘Rolling Stone’ cover of mine / shot by Mark Seliger in this piece of s—. That they had approved. I said ‘f— no.’ shocked. Gentleman don’t approve this sort of thing.”
She concluded, “My heart goes out to Pammy further causing her complex trauma. And shame on Lily James whoever the f— she is. #vile.”
