Fort Myers, FL Resident Rickey Medlocke From Lynyrd Skynyrd Beats COVID-19
Fort Myers, FL resident Rickey Medlocke from Lynyrd Skynyrd has beaten COVID-19.
Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Rickey Medlocke is set to return to the stage this weekend following a successful fight against COVID-19.
The Fort Myers, Florida-based rocker says doctors have given him a green light to rejoin his bandmates onstage for Sunday’s show in Wildwood, New Jersey.
“Here I am, rounded the corner,” Medlocke says on Instagram. “I’m back, feeling good. I’m going to kick out the footlights this weekend in New Jersey. And you know what? I feel very blessed and very fortunate to be sitting here today.”
Although he managed to beat the virus, Medlocke is urging fans to take safety precautions, saying suffering through an infection is “not fun.”
