Singer From Orlando Metal Band Earns More Money From Twitch Streams Than His Band’s Music
Trivium frontman Matt Heafy says he earns more money from his ‘side job’ than from his band’s music.
Heafy says he makes more money off his Twitch stream – which includes video games, guitar lessons, or chats with fans – than Trivium earns from streams on Spotify and all the rest of the online music services.
In fact, Heafy makes nearly the same amount of money in a month – about $10K – than the roughly $11K Trivium earns off streams in a whole year.
Heafy currently streams from 9am to 3pm Monday through Friday and plans to keep doing so – even when Trivium is on the road.
