Green Day Fans Rant Against People Who Joke About Waking Up Billie Joe Armstrong on October 1
Today is October 1, and in accordance with the Green Day song “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” you might see some people on social media posting a meme reminding everyone to wake up Billie Joe Armstrong. However, some fans are just not having it.
A lot of fans are quick to remind everyone of the story behind “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” which is actually about Armstrong’s father dying from cancer when Billie Joe was just ten years old.
Considering that information, maybe people should let this meme go. It’s not that funny anyway.
