LOS ANGELES, CA - MAY 12: Musicians Kirk Hammett (L) and Robert Trujillo of Metallica attend the 10th annual MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit Concert at Club Nokia on May 12, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.

Remember how Metallica’s Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo signed on to take part in a special covers gig under the name The Wedding Band? That gig took place over the weekend, and the set featured some pretty great covers.

The show itself took place on July 26 at the Cosmopolitan Music Hall inside Cosmo Music in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, which is the single largest musical instrument store in North America. The gig coincided with the opening of “It’s Alive! Classic Horror And Sci-Fi Art From The Kirk Hammett Collection” at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, which is running through January 5, 2020.

Hammett and Trujillo were joined by Whitfield Crane and Joey Castillo, and they performed a variety of songs by the likes of Motorhead, Black Sabbath and AC/DC. Check out a selection of the fan-shot videos below!

“Highway to Hell”
