Smashing Pumpkins Member Mourns The Death Of His Pet
Sending condolences to Jimmy Chamberlin after he sadly announced the sudden passing of his cat, Willie Silverboy.
The Insta-famous feline developed a blood clot, according to the Smashing Pumpkins drummer, who shared the message, “Life is precious and it is never on ‘our time.’ Drink every precious drop of it and love those around you with intensity and passion.”
Willie Silverboy had his own social media account, with over 1,500 followers. The last post there was added back in April, which read, “Relaxing in the sun on a beautiful spring day. #catsofinstagram #willieboy.”
Turns out Chamberlin wasn’t the only cat lover in the band. Frontman Billy Corgan’s Mr. Thom and Sammi were once featured on the cover of PAWS magazine in 2012. While the pair has gone over the rainbow bridge, they are survived by Diamondbaby and Angelface.
