Slipknot Booked for ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Anytime a rock or metal act appears on a late night talk show, it feels like an event, and the May 17 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be no exception.

Slipknot has been confirmed for a performance on the ABC talk show next Friday night. The band announced the appearance along with the hashtag #WeAreNotYourKind.

Also speculated for the show is the unveiling of the band’s new masks to coincide with the band’s sixth studio album, which will come out August 9. Its title has yet to be announced. In the meantime, as we wait for more album details, Slipknot has announced their Knotfest Roadshow tour with Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth, which kicks off July 26 in Mountain View, Calif.
