A man rescued a monkey that fell into a frozen river in China. Now, that video is going viral online!

You frequently hear stories of people falling through the ice during winter thinking that it’s safe to be on only to find out that it’s not. It can be a scary scene! Then, there have also been stories of dogs who have fallen into frozen waters that needed to be rescued. We talked about one of those stories the other day on Dave & Chuck The Freak. Now, this time around it’s a little bit different. It was a monkey that fell into a frozen river and was in need of rescuing. Thankfully, this guy was around and was able to bring the monkey to safety using a stick! Check out the viral video shared by Stuff here!

Man Saves Monkey From Frozen River

Good thing he was there to save the monkey from the frozen river! Sounds like he noticed the monkey in the water in distressed and used what he had close to him to save the monkey. Thankfully, that large tree branch was near by and he was able to use it to bring the monkey to safety.

You don’t often think about how wild animals fare on frozen waters like that but it’s just as easy for them to fall through as it would be for you if you were walking on that ice! You have to be careful out there. Good on him for doing what he could to save that monkey! No word on where in China this happened.

Typically, these kinds of endings can be avoided. A good way to not end up the star of a news story alongside a wild animal? Keep a safe distance.
