A man lived as a nun for 22 years in the Dominican Republic! He was known as Sister Margarita!

Frank Tavares was able to successfully live as a nun in the Dominican Republic for 22 years and is now known as the "nun man." He was reportedly placed under care of nuns at the age of 4 after his parents died in a car accident. Lucky for him, in a way, his genitals were so small that he had trouble finding them and was raised as a girl at the convent, per Oddity Central. Finally, around age 7 his genitals started to grow and he realized he was a boy but continued living as a girl to avoid being tossed out. He was able to do it for 22 years! How did he pull it off?

It sounds like he did all he could do to hide his gender from the rest of the people there. He says he never bathed in front of the women and wore boxer-style panties and would fake periods and wore oversized dresses. Roughly 2 decades later, his cover was blown and he was asked to leave.

Oddity Central notes that during his time as a nun he got one novice nun pregnant. He's now 73-years-old and works as a tailor, a skill he learned during his time as a nun. This is like something you'd see in a movie! Pretty crazy he was able to hide that for 22 years. You'd think someone would have caught on sooner. Looking at pictures provided by Oddity Central, he had a clear and obvious mustache!
