A Florida Man’s T-Shirt Choice Probably Won’t Help With His DUI Case
“I don’t wanna deny anything to make myself look guilty of anything.” That was the standout quote for me from this footage from police captured on a body camera after they pulled over a man wearing a t-shirt that really won’t help his case in court.
Another one of those classic “A Florida Man” stories this week.
The footage comes from a Marion County Sheriff’s Office camera. They pulled over 41 year old James Rix Jr. Cops say they clocked him on their radar speeding by at 89 miles per hour in a 45 zone and quickly sprung into action. After a chase, he finally came to a stop.
The body camera footage shows him doing the usual DUI tests. Then you see the ironic joke on the back of his t-shirt: “I’m the Reason the Beer’s Always Gone.” That little gem of a joke will really score points with the judge I’m sure.
CBS 12 reports that Rix was arrested and became “verbally aggressive.” Breath tests were administered and the report says Rix blew a .204 and .200. That’s pretty close to three times the legal limit in Florida. Rix was charged with unlawful speed, possession of open container in vehicle, and DUI. [Source: CBS 12]
Famous DUI Mugshots
DUI mugshots are never flattering. Here are some famous faces. Here in Florida, Justin Bieber ended up not only with a traditional mugshot. They ended up documenting all his tattoos in a shirtless photoshoot fit for the pages of Teen Bopper magazine.
