The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority has announced those new payment systems on board their buses are good to go. You won’t have to fumble for change or download an app to pay like before. Instead, you’ll now just tap your credit card or use your cell phone… or even your watch to pay.
The buses will accept payments from debit cards, pre-paid cards and credit cards – either by just tapping if your card offers that. Or just insert the card into a reader. For those who are fans of Apple Pay and Google Pay, those will both work too with your mobile phone or smart watch.
Only downside so far seems to be those senior discounts. The new system isn’t set up to provide those yet. But they say they’re working on it. So jump on the bus and go get some pastries at Mazzaro’s.
