Tampa Bay’s Cross-Bay Ferry Prices And Times
When I walked out of the house this morning, I felt that familiar cool and crisp, low humidity invigoration that November in Florida brings. This is my favrite time of year, with dinner and drinks on the water, fire pits, letting the air conditioning take a rest here and there and getting out on the Bay.
A great way to avoid traffic and truly appreciate Tampa Bay from the water is the the Cross-Bay Ferry. The ferry cruises between downtown Tampa and downtown St. Pete and they just announced an extension to their season with extended hours. The ferry schedule will continue until at least spring of 2023. A welcome addition to the service is the new late hours on weekends. The ferry will now run until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
The Cross-Bay Ferry had a spectacular year, with 62,130 riders opting for the ride across the bay. The rides will continue to launch and dock at the same locations. That means Tampa ferry rides will still leave fom the Tampa OCnvention Center and North Straub Park in St. Petersburg. Ride departure times vary by the day, but weekends offer the longest service, leaving for the last time both nights at 10:45 p.m.
If you’re an adult, it will cost you $12 for a one-way trip. Everyone else gets a one-way for $8 and roundtrips for $16 (seniors, kids, military, college students). The ferry is free if you’e under 4 years old or younger. Those riders who are using a wheelchair pay $5 one-way and $10 roundtrip. Source: CLTampa.com
