Largo Pizza Restaurant Doubles As Drug House
A Largo man is facing some heavy charges after allegedly operating a drug house out of a pizza restaurant. According to Channel 8 News, an anonymous tip to Pinellas County sheriff’s in April established grounds for a search of the business, where police seized 11 different drugs from the pizza spot. During the search, detectives also concluded that Ljena was living at the business after finding clothes scattered around everywhere and a pull out couch that had been used for sleeping. The narcotics detectives arrested Blerim Ljena on July 19 after conducting the search of his restaurant.
Brickhouse Pizza at 1135 N. Missouri Ave. in Largo. was a front for selling hard drugs. The substances detectives found include:
- 1.4 grams of hydrocodone
- 25 doses of alprazolam
- 2.1 grams of morphine
- 12 doses of lorazepam
- 2.3 grams of dilaudid
- 6.1 grams of oxycodone
- One gram of hydromorphone
- 37 grams of marijuana
- 7 grams of cocaine
- 12.5 ounces of methamphetamine
- 5 ounces of 1,4 butanediol (GHB)
Ljena is now in custody at Pinellas County Jail. He was charged with nine counts of possession of a controlled substance, five counts of trafficking amphetamine, one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device, one count of operating a drug house, one count of trafficking GHB and one count of sale or delivery of controlled substance.
