Florida Man Says Netflix Made Him Do Shrooms

The man claimed Netflix caused his arrest.

I’ve been accused of doing it all for the nookie, so I get it. Police say Florida man was arrested after a traffic stop that was caused by a Netflix mega-binge and psychedelic mushrooms.

Wait, what? According to Tampa FP, cops say Christopher Singleton, 44, was pulled over on Friday night for an infraction with his vehicle’s license plate.

Upon further investigation, police discovered that the man’s truck was unregistered. As the officer questioned Singleton, he noticed the strong smell of marijuana.

When asked if he had drugs in the vehicle, cops say Singleton admitted to having “oil, like vape stuff”. When officers searched the truck, they found 3 bags of marijuana, a tube of THC wax and some psychedelic mushrooms.

The man told investigators that he had recently watched a special on Netflix about mushrooms and wanted to try them for himself. Police also found some pipes that are traditionally used for smoking drugs, but they showed no signs of previous use, so he was allowed to keep them.

Singleton was charged with felony drug possession, jailed and was later released on bond.
