Tampa Airport Expecting 3.6 Million Travelers This Spring Break
Flocks of passengers will be leaving and entering Tampa International Airport.
The season is the busiest month-and-a-half of the entire year for the airport. Over the next six weeks, the airport expects to see 3.6 million passengers, an 8.8 percent increase over last year, according to the airport.
Now that is a lot of people. Is it just me or do people fly into Tampa and drive to another location in Florida. It seems as though Tampa is the hub. That and Orlando…
According to TIA, On peak days, the airport will see as many as 80,000 to 90,000 daily passengers arriving and departing. Typically, it’s less than 70,000.
Airport officials suggest that travelers arrive two hours before their departure. For those picking up passengers, its recommended they use the cell phone lot or the short-term parking garage.
I have no doubt that TPA will have it all under control. Arguably the best airport in the U.S.
